NUFO has been founded as "Nuclear Fallout" in 1995 by a few hotheads from the suburbs of Graz, Austria.

The initial meaning of the band was playing melodic 90s punkrock. In these early days the band started to create its own interpretation of melodic punk style.  And NUFO still sticks with this plan for more than 25 years now.

In all those years NUFO shared the stage with bands like No Fun At All (SWE), Adhesive (SWE), Venerea (SWE), WASEI (ITA), Straightline (GER), The Exploited (GBR), SNFU (CAN), The Siknotes (GBR), Red Lights Flash (AUT), Lineout (ITA), 69enfermos (BRA), Terrorgruppe (GER) and many more. 

Besides countless gigs in good old Europe NUFO finally entered the southern hemisphere and toured across Brazil in Dezember 2018.

The album “Virtual Paradise” (released February 2016) is an audible retrospective of 20 years of band history. Skatepunkers.net says: "If you like 90's style melodic punk rock with epic choruses, this is a must download for you."

The recent album “Fight your thoughts” has been released at Lonesome Surfers Records on April 17th 2020.

The brand-new album "stick together" has been released on April 29th 2023.
